After the data of millions of users was leaked, an investigation into Facebook in Turkey

 



On Monday, Turkey's Personal Data Protection Authority launched an investigation into the social media giant, "Facebook", after a hacking platform leaked personal data to hundreds of millions of its users.


Sources in the authority stated that the authority discussed in its meeting the news of the leakage of personal data of 533 million Facebook users on a piracy platform on Saturday.


She confirmed that the commission has opened an investigation about "Facebook" in this context.


And Saturday, the "Business Insider" website stated that a piracy forum shared the phone numbers and personal data of 533 million users on "Facebook" from 106 countries online for free.


He added that the data published on the platform includes personal information about more than 32 million users from the United States, 11 million from the United Kingdom, and 6 million from India.
